The chaotic flurry of Kabukicho is captured, recontextualized, and expressed throughout the hotel. Through this reimagining, we aim to bring a fresh new perspective to Kabukicho.

Melbourne raised visual artist directed and shot the video installation welcoming guests at the entrance. Daily scenes of Shinjuku are captured from a unique perspective and projected, illuminating a different side of Kabukicho.

As the word “bespoke” denotes uniqueness and communication, the Japanese quotation mark「」 is utilized as a key graphic motif throughout the hotel. Just as the name of the hotel indicates, each of the 106 rooms are adorned with a unique graphic mural on the wall. The graphic motif is also used throughout the hotel on amenities as well as on individual items in order to build a complete experience.

From the flower arrangements inspired by Kabukicho to the reimagined Maneki-neko and Fukusuke, the art and books on display at the front desk and lounge reflect the city’s eclectic charm. Original tumblers, tote bags, and aroma mist souvenirs are available for purchase at the kiosk.
